I'm hoping the engine is fine and that something simple has been overlooked during the install.
It's not the engine...
Same old throttle body and wire harness, same old starter.
The starter seems no to be getting juice.
The fault codes above need to be addressed but I'm no mechanic and hate electrical trouble shooting (I suck at it)

Any chance you have a DME thing going on? Your codes are from a 7.8 DME engine but being a MY2002, the car wiring is probably set up for a 7.2 DME. On a search, I saw this swap issue in the Boxster forum and the result was the same issue you are having.

Do you know what year the DME switched over? I think his donor engine is newer than the car.

From what I read, it switched to 7.8 in 2003.

I wish I new. I'll have to double check what I plugged into the Durametric as I may have made a mistake.
The engine is a factory replacement that went into an 05 (3.6)

I'm going to vote DME issue but also perhaps ground strap.

Do you get any lights on the dash? Or messages, does the oil level get read?

I'm thinking DME too. Do you have the DME from the new engine? If you are, I do not think that would working without changing out all of the immobilizer crap to match the new DME. If you are using the old DME, but the new motor needs the newer DME, that will also cause the issue.

Good point, I change my answer from DME to DME + immobiliser.

Something is telling the engine not to start.

So, it sounds like physically everything is buttoned up so i'd say were looking at something electrical here.

When you turn the key you get nothing? Not even a crank but no fire or doesn't even get to that stage?

Think were looking at:
- Immobiliser
- DME
- Starter

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key?

The car definitely thinks its been or being stolen and won't start...

Have you got the right immobiliser fob not just key blade to start the car?

Or, maybe it was something really stupid... like a less than tight starter cable. She's alive!!!

Congratulations!

It usually ends up bring something like that. Hence the earlier suggestion about breaking the problem down and troubleshooting it systematically. I’ve worked in software for 25 years, and I can’t even tell you how many times bugs boil down to something simple once you get to the root cause.
