Yes, that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Ouch on the maintenance bill/wife situation. That is one of the reasons why I just say the car is "in for an oil change" regardless of what is being done on my '99.

Love reading that Craigslist ad and the part about the mad wife. If I had all the money back my wife has spend on shoes in the last 10 years, I could have bought two 996 cars.

Good eye! It does seem to be full leather -- that's a large advantage (to me at least).
Seems like a great car from a credible seller priced right.
I wasn't familiar with the EPS IMS he mentioned, sounds interesting (https://www.europeanpartssolution.co...g-upgrade-kit/)
What radio is that? It looks like an OEM radio, but I have never seen a radio like that in a 996. Is that the "cassette" option original radio on the early cars?

Thats funny!! I think we all go thru the wife situation - for 20 years I told my wife everything I purchased or repaired on my P cars was 60% less than actual cost - 5 yrs ago she caught on so now I have to be straight up - Sucks but dats life
