Finally a 911 that purist will hate more than the 996!

Wow, the 992 has that black lower panel at the rear, where the tail pipes stick out. Is it called a rear grille or something? Terrible. Now the 911 looks like every SUV and every Civic, Camry, Kia, and Ford - I think all cars grew this awful black rear grille which is typically not functional, only for looks. Even the 991 only has a very small one of those, now it is a major eye sore.

Yep, not a huge fan of the front either, although it's not too horrible.
But from the side it looks great!

I've often thought it would be nice to have a second 911—a Cab—with a GT3 drivetrain. But I would never go so far as to call it a GT3.
I'd seriously question the veracity of that report. Then again, if Porsche thought it would generate revenue...

This is just my personal opinion, but I hate the looks of the new 992!
I think I’m not going to be alone either.

I think the Jag was a ripoff of the 911. Just my opinion. I kinda like the new direction except for the slab sided wheel wells. Enclosing the exhaust tips has been an industry wide direction for a few years. So long as the tips are connected to the exhaust system I'm OK with that. Fake outlets are like assisted sound in the interior. All cars are becoming more and more antiseptic, Porsche as well.

same. I love the vertical slats on the rear, and I especially like the frunk-line, kind of a cross between 964 and 993. The only thing I don't love is it continues the trend of modern 911s (and other performance cars for that matter) where the rims are disproportionately large. Some say it's to fit massive brakes, but if 18" rims are good enough for a 911 RSR, they're good enough for the street version imo.
