Note that except for the turbo, almost all 2005 911s are 997s.

Narrow and wide body lights are not interchangeable because of the mounting differences.
Narrow body light mounts wrap around and screws go into the mounting frame "horizontally" from the engine side. Turbo and C4 mounts just lay on the top of the frame and screws go in straight towards the engine bay.

Mike, I just had pictures taken of my extra taillight... it looks pretty good even with the repaired corner (see below) however, unfortunately it looks like its the wrong side. Sorry about that, I remembered incorrectly on which side it was on.
As you can see it is passenger side....sorry about that. I would urge you to look at Norspec Dismantling....I am sure they have the taillight you need and are easy to work with

Thanks man, good info. I was wondering about the amber lights, I see these pop up in my searches. If I'm understanding correctly, the 99- 05 lights, as long as they're not c4s or turbo will fit. That's where I think I am at, and gives me a lot of options. I like the LED, but haven't seen them in "live" yet. If I can get a stock one, I'm going to go with that. Moisture is my big concern, although the crack is small now it probably won't stay that way.
Hey man, no worries. It does look good, too bad it’s the wrong side. Thanks for the very generous offer in any case.

I have stock lights if you want them, but they both have small cracks in the top center that run about 1 inch perpendicular to the edge
i can take a pic if you’re interested

Thanks! I think I’m looking for non cracked ones for now. If I can’t find them at a reasonable price, I’m going to live with it until I can’t.
I appreciate the offer!

Bumping this up top - even a cracked one would be better than what I have. I prefer to have something that isn't missing chunks - but we can still talk about it (Slakker)... lol
