Soft top gutter?

Soft top gutter?
Hello chaps,
My cab soft top has a couple of holes at each corner of the bottom of the plastic rear window.
Q. Are these intentional gutters, or do I have a problem.
I've stopped the top half way up and lifted up the rear window part of the top, there is some rubber flap under there.
She's getting on a bit you know.

Any help appreciated...

Not sure I understand your question. Are the holes in the window? Is the window separating from the fabric? Or are you referring to the holes in the rubber gasket that meets the body of the car?
Pictures would help immensely.

The window delaminating from the fabric is a common issue with the older plastic windows. Replacing the window isn't really an option. You could:
1. Repair the window yourself (Here's a somewhat complex DIY tutorial)
2. Find an upholstery shop/convertible top shop to do the repair for you (show them the DIY)
3. Replace the entire convertible top. (GAHH is one good option, but there are others)
If you decide to go with the replacement top, you can choose to get a (smaller) glass window, or go with the original design of a plastic window.

If you have a garage and can live with it aesthetically, it's no big deal - especially if you drive with the top down often.

Your car is 20 years old. I would spring for a new top if you can afford it. Otherwise try to re-glue/stitch the window using Frisbee91's DIY. I tried that and was not happy with the results but it did keep out the rain. I had a new top installed the following year. It was the GAAH A5 Canvas (same as OEM ) with the plastic window. It was around $1800 including installation and tax. One with a glass window will be about $200-300 more.
