The urethane front spoiler sourced from Xtreme Motorcars (www.xtrememotorcars.com) just arrived this week. Jeff is an extremely responsive seller on eBay, which is where I transacted the purchase.
In a lifetime of messing with cars and aftermarket products, I have never had a product fit this well, with fantastic quality and enhance the look of a car like the spoiler I bought from Jeff. My old mentor at Automobile magazine, David E. Davis, Jr., would likely have used the word 'Gobsmacked'....it's just that darn good.
Attached is a photo of the car with the spoiler fitted. But let me tell you that it is not secured whatsoever! I just put it in place and it fit perfectly. It is very high-quality urethane that fits as well as an OEM product. I'm now debating whether to leave it as is, or have it painted Seal Grey to match.
I'm so pleased that I had to pass it along to the group. BTW, Jeff also offers one for the earlier Mk.1 996's that looks equally as good.
Be honest...do you really like it? Just kidding..looks awesome. Watch out for curb stops in the parking lot. I so find it amusing to watch people park and run their cars all the way up to the curb stop so the tires hit, all the while scraping and dragging their front end over the curb stop.
I have the same chin splitter on my arctic silver car and left it black
i like the color contrast, that and I know a soon as I paint it, I will muck it up on a wheel stop

Just checking xrtrememotorcar's offerings and didn't see any mk1 splitters...would you happen to have another link ? (Guess I could just contact them directly)
finding splitters for mk1 cars seem to be very hard to find unless you change out the whole front bumper
I like it.
It would look even better painted...until the first parking stop scratches it.
Probably best to keep it unpainted if you even park where there is a stop, or curb in front.
Because you know that no matter how careful you are you'll hit it eventually.
My splitter got caught on one recently and got pulled off.
Its painted and the scratches are very visible.
It's off the car for now.
Mine's been on for over a year and almost 7000 miles. I'm always careful when pulling straight into a parking spot, the car is short so no need to be too close up front, and even though my driveway entrance is pretty steep, in fact our c7 corvette always rubs the rubber air dam going in or out of the driveway, the 911 doesn't scrape at all. This spoiler adds some length but very little to the height to the front end.
Installed the spoiler today after painting and buffing it out yesterday. Much prefer the painted finish over the black as it completes the factory aero kit on the car.
