Extended warranty

If you come across one, please share. I'd also say that it is very important to read the fine print, and fully understand what the warranty covers. In some cases (for example the warranty I got from the Porsche dealer I bought my car from) it only covers things that would prevent it from passing a highway safety inspection. So oil leaks and other misc. things weren't covered. On the plus side, catastrophic engine failure would have been covered.

You are kidding...right? If you happen to find a company that offers an extended warranty for a 2002 16 year old used car with 106,000 miles, I'll bet the annual cost of that will be equal to if not more than the car costs to begin with. Good luck!
