Hey Tex Squirrel...wishing you a speedy recovery....
Can't wait to see your car once you install the skirts...it already looks great but will even look better!

Well I've been hesitant to install side skirts on my car, because the MkI Aerokit instructions showed a metal bar that was attached to the side of the car with self taping screws.
That in my mind made the modification non-reversible...or at least not easily reversible.
Well I just got 2 brand new genuine Porsche MKII Aerokit side skirts and they attach on the side with an adhesive strip.
That's pretty easily reversible.
I'm glad I got them now.
There are some bolts which attach underneath.
My car will be heading to the body shop in about a week and a half and should have a full Aerokit when I get it back.

I'm excited!

Your car will now be complete! Can't wait to see it.

In my humble, humble opinion, I'd remove the those headlight masks. The GT3 Aero kit cars are some of the best looking cars that left the factory in my view.

I think your car will look awesome with those skirts! Please post a pic. And while I tend to agree with Nutty about liking 996 headlights....I think your treatment is very tastefully done and I do like that too. It makes your car unique and you can call it your own. Its actually pretty cool.

I have two sets of headlights, so I can switch back and forth.

I'll definitely get some after photos.
I can't wait to get them installed.

The body shop that painted my Taco, also painted my side skirts last Saturday.
I dropped off my 996 early this morning and they installed them for me.
I spent the day working on a Honda Odyssey.
When I finished I caught a ride to pick up my 996.
I really like the full Aerokit look!
I had planned on getting some photos with the standard non-headlight covered headlights, but I didn't get a chance to swap them out and go get some photos.

Looking good, interesting concept to have the taco rather than the MK2 wing.

Was that just because you like the taco better?

Yes, in my opinion the later MK2 wing is REALLY nice, but the Mk1 Taco wing is true art.
I'd kinda like to have both, but the Taco is my first choice.

Great! The car is now complete! When you have a dry day, go out and take some cool photos and repost. And please take some minus the headlight masks.
