Up date I found the issue with the top not closing or opening now need to replace the micro-switch that is broke "Roof Side Flap Micro-switch" . You can see the metal flab is missing off one .
Part number is needed its for the driver side flap. Do I need to replace the whole mechanism or just the micro-switch.
Left or right side? In Pet under the Motor and Components section you can find part #19, a microswitch. 996.561.686.00 is the right side and 996.561.685.00 is the left. You should verify these numbers. The list price is $146.30 but Sonnen and other sources sell them for $106. You might go on eBay and just buy the whole flap assembly, range fro about $75 to $125 there.
Found the right switch alone on eBay for $72. Google is your friend.
