Default 2002 996 Fault Codes

2002 Porsche 996 fault code 60. Central locking limit position Lock not reached.
What lock are they talking about? Also fault code 54 Radio receiver. It is a stock radio that works fine. What am I looking for?

Is your car/horn beeping when you lock the car? If so, it means one of the locks isn't working or that something isn't properly closed. Fixing the "not properly closed" is easy - find the offending "door" and make sure it's fully closed. If everything is closed fully, then you've got to get a durametric or take to a dealer and have them scan with PWIS - one of these two should be able to identify the offending latch/microswitch. Replace offending microswitch(s)... good luck

If there is no other strange things going on and the horn is not beeping locking/unlocking car, then maybe it is nothing. Code 60 is for informational purposes and is not indicative of repair(s) required..

Thanks, I was worried something more drastic may be wrong. Any idea why I would get the radio code?

No idea. But if the radio works okay, why stress over it? Sometimes the security fault codes actually mean nothing, and if you have no other problems I would ignore them.

Thanks again. Nice to have a place to find people with more Porsche experience than me. Have a great weekend!
