Default Chain Tensioners

Hi Everyone,
I posted this topic over on the RennTech site but as of yet to responders - so I was hoping someone has the a chain tensioner with part number listed below on a shelf some place that could compare my pics with the shelf item to see if they are the same tensioners.

1999, 996 C2 Cabrio

I am hoping some of the guys can help me. I am changing my chain tensioners and the 1-3 new tensioner does not look like the old one (the IMSto crank tensioner looked identical old vs new). The new part number for the 1-3 is 996 105 186 02. The new part has a much thicker head and does not have the 2 rings on the body like the old one does. The tops are not identical but with a little squinting the new part number does look a little like it has 2 rings on top. Has anyone run into tensioners looking like this old vs new or does it look like I got an incorrect part?

Thanks
(P.S. Charles Navarro from LN was kind enough to reply to say that it looks like the new head has the 2 rings)

I am under the impression that chain rattle due to failing tentioners is a result of dry starts. Does anyone know what fuse to pull to delay ignition after long storage. Or has anyone added a ignition kill switch to their 996 and can describe the process ?

Need to pull the fuel pump fuses. The chain tensioners that usually make the rattling noise on start up are located between the camshafts.
