Default exhaust suggestions for C4S??

just bought an '02 C4S from a friend. He had muffler bypass
set up (just pipes coming from cat to the tip). Its great but too
damn loud. conversely, i think that stock is too quiet.

does anyone have any suggestions on something in between?
something that won't be so extreme?I typically love loud, but this
is going to get me in trouble.

Fabspeed? Porsche sport exhaust? I don't really know who sells what
on the Porsche side of things...

thanks in advance...

I have the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE as we call it) and it makes the car sound infinitely better, but does not add much HP. It's a worthwhile option IMO, but not cheap.

Much as I'd love to get into this again, there are already a TON of posts on the subject. Just do a search with keyword "exhaust".

PSE sounds awesome and no drone. It'll cost $5000 new (price hike).

I have the Tubi and it sounds more Italian, but still flat6, no drone. It's the only aftermarket exhaust that sounds good in my ears. Quality construction. Pricey at around $3500.

I have fabspeed exhaust on my c4S. Its better than stock but its not in your face loud like muff by-pass.
Nice wail to it from 3500 rpm onwards.

I almost did the fister D. But I found Fabspeed for $550 shipped a couple of months ago, otherwise it would have been the fister product. The Fabs are great, but I would like them to be just a bit louder.

If you can swing it, PSE is the way to go.
