OMG is that a 997? Are you planning on P-O-R-S-C-H-E lettering on the back as well maybe 911 and Carrera pasted on the back too?

Just joking, sorry couldn't help it, not a fan of those but to each their own, otherwise nice car.

I actually didn't notice it for a while !!, I kept looking back and forth at the bumper trying to see what was different about the bumper . I don't hate the fried egg headlights, and this particular execution does not stick out compared to others.

The title tricked me as well because 2002 was the "facelift" year. At least you went with a temporary solution because two facelifts in one lifetime is a lot for an old girl!

These are the ones that were advertised on here from another member, correct? Nice execution.

Nice job. For those that want to facelift their 996, I think it looks good and I like the look. I also like the stock '02 and up 996 headlights and won't do this to mine. To each his/her own. (beautiful clear headlights, too)
Cheers.

Agreed. I like the originals but this is a good clean mod. Enjoy!

It's your car so if you like it roll with it. Until 996 owners stop trying to change their factory beautiful Porsche's and embrace what the car is, the 996 will always have a bad rap. I think the 996 has aged gracefully and we should all embrace the design choice that was the headlights of the 996 MK1 or MK2 style. I actually like BOTH sets of headlights. I wish everyone would stop pretending so we can shed the little brother stigma. The 996 is an excellent driving and looking 911 including the headlights.

We all mod our cars...some mechanically....some visually...some both....I have said this before, I think what draws me to the 996 is that it is the greatest platform for mods....that's the fun. I am of the school to heavily mod the mechanicals with only minor non factory changes visually since I do like the look. However, I love seeing the innovation on the visuals, especially those that are as nicely done as the OP.

I agree with most of the other posters. I prefer the 996 as it was designed, but if you're going to modify the headlights, this is one of the better looking covers that I've seen.

I left my 996 C4S headlights alone when I owned it.

That's fine, and I get it. Agree for the most part on the "Mod" comment, but this is akin to putting BMW halo headlights on a civic. I agree, it's the most tasteful attempt at it, but you don't see 997 owners swapping their headlights for 991's. If you wanted round headlights so bad, you should have bought a 997 or a 993. Buying the covers and putting them on a 996 just makes the car and the buyer look cheap, like they couldn't afford to get the car they really wanted.
