Default Seat wiring question

I've been tearing apart my new to me 1999 996 coupe and when I took the drivers seat out i saw that the wiring harness had a bunch of electrical tape. Not the cloth wrap. There were a couple of spliced wires that I'm curious about. Really just interested if it's stock or if someone made changes. I've seen some other oddball things as I've been going through the car and I really don't have any history on it except from the PO. Any help would be most appreciated

That doesn’t appear stock to me. To sort out what has been done, you could chase down the seat harness wires in the Bentley or factory wiring diagrams. It has all appearance of ground wires being spliced.

Thanks, so it's not stock. The brown/white is the lock wire and the brown/red is unlock. Not sure why they are tied to ground.
