Bose Failure (03 C2)?
My 03 Bose does not output any sounds - head unit seems to be working.
I recall this problem, but a search did not get me any hits in the archive - what is the cause and cure?
Thanks,
wino

This morning my 2003 TT did the same thing. Error message was "unable to communicate with amplifier". I fixed it by pulling and reinserting the "sound system" fuse. I think it was D9 in the fuse panel.

Wino,
I had the same experience with my 2003 C2. The problem happened several times on different occasions and then one day nothing worked. My dealer replaced the head unit. I have had no problems since. Since it is under warranty I suggest a trip to the dealer for replacement. You really do not want an intermittent problem.

There's is a service advisory for '03 radios. If your car falls within a VIN range, Porsche will replace your head unit. I had my done a few weeks ago when I took it in for my 15K service. The unit was malfunctioning for a day or so, early last year, but worked fine prior to its replacement. Because my car was within the VIN range that had the "faulty" radios, the dealer went ahead and replaced it under a recall warranty.
