Question C4S Front Diff Fill Plug Size

Hey everyone. The fill plug on my front differential is rounded off. I've got a 17mm bolt extractor on the way, but in the meantime I'm trying to figure out the size of the fill plug in order to replace it.

I have a spare 18x1.5mm engine oil drain plug (the one with a hex head) and I'm curious if it's the same size/length and would work here?

Thanks for the insight!

Here's a pic of the difference in size. Front diff fill plug is much shorter but the engine oil plug sealed fine. I left the washer on as well. Thanks for the help!
