Hi. I'm relocating to the Sacramento area. Any recommendations for an independent Service shop?
Thanks

I use Midtown Autoworks in Sacramento. Nikko "the owner" has worked on Porsche's since 2000 and is a Porsche Master Mechanic. His costs are reasonable, shop very clean and does not try to get you to do more than what you are there for. Look up his shop at the following web site https://midtownautoworks.com/

He did my IMS/RMS and clutch when I got my car and also my 60K service recently. Have recommended him to others and they all seam happy with him.

I second Midtown Autoworks. Nikko’s done work on a couple of my cars and really knows his stuff. Like texcwa said, very reasonable on pricing and honest.

Ron at IPB Autosport has been around a long time and is keen on the 911. Give him a shout and if you do, PM me and we'll do a "name drop" for old time sake.

Do you recall what they charged you for the 60K service?

Yes, it was a little over $2,600.00 but I had them do a few of extra preventative things such as: New Water Pump, Thermostat, Brake Flush and a couple of the belt tentioners since they were replacing the belt. The service included Fluids, Spark Plugs, All Filters, lube at all assemblies including windows & sunroof, other 60K recommendations and overall inspection. Hope this helps.

I don't have experience with Midtown Automotive...though I've used IPB and had a very good experience. With that said, I'm an even bigger fan of Frank's Automotive in East Sacramento. http://www.franksautosacramento.net/...utomotive.aspx

Great service....free shuttle (Uber)...repair orders beautifully printed and put in clear sleeves for owner's to archive. Nick's father (Frank) opened back in 1969....passed down passion for Porsche's to his son.

Welcome to Sac!

Anyone with recent experience with these Sactown shops?
Im thinking of taking my 2017 991.2 for the 60k service.
I've never taken my car to a non dealer, but their service and cost has become worse over time

Oops! I see where I already mentioned Frank's Automotive. Ha! In any case, I have my routine service and virtually all other service items done there. I'd put them on your short list to reach out to for information.

Default Midtown Autowerks

Had extremely good results with Niko.
Ex dealer tech who is seriously into the marque.
