Default 99' oil pressure up?

99' Recently replaced water pump and a lower temp thermostat, since oil pressure has come up.. could be the age / miles, pressure sending unit getting old? or chain tensioner debris ?
Cold start, there is chain noises just only for 3-5 seconds. After it gets oil pressure; noise completely goes away.

any ideas ?

I noticed the same with mine. 99, C2 tip coupe. Chalked it up to better cooking keeping the oil thicker, I might be wrong though.

Seems perfectly normal to me. What was your oil pressure with the engine fully warmed up before the swap?

I'm with Volkert. In fact, based on what I have read and experienced with my car, your cold start oil pressure seams normal but your warmed up pressure with 21 miles of driving at 46 deg seams at the lower range of normal unless you were really pushing it.

Coolant and oil pressure seems normal to me for a w40 viscosity. For colder days the ambient temperature is of marginal influence in steady state as the thermostat is perfectly capable to regulate the cooling capacity and more then enough cooling capacity at rads. On colder days you probably can see the thermostat doing its work I.e. when shifting down from 2000rpm to the 4000-5000 range as the waterpump will suddenly pump much more (cold) water, causing a coolant temperature dip which then gets evened out by the thermostat closing a bit more.

My pressure has been registering on the higher end all week. The highs here in Richmond have been in the lower 20's for a solid week, chalking it up to that
