Default Passenger Door Window

My passenger door window is acting odd. I will go and up and down, but only 3 inches at a time. It also doen't go back up once the door is opened, to support the down/up when opening and closing the door. I replaced the interior door handle micro-switch and the outside handle micro-switch. If I had to guess it's not getting a signal from the door latch/mechanism to let it know the door is now closed and it can go back up. I've only owned the car a year, however, it's a very clean southern car @ 55K miles.

Is there a reset or, do I need to replace/fix something else?

You could try resetting it, hold the window up button for 5 seconds after window is all the way up. Otherwise could be the window regulator, kind of intimidating but ended up being fairly simple

In mine the mechanics were fouled up and they had to be replaced. IMHO due to not being used or something!

Regulator or latch mechanism. I'm going with latch mechanism.

Open offending door. push down on glass. if it moves, it the regulator.

Thanks for the replies. I've changed numerous regulators in my time and the symptom is always the same. if the regular is bad the window falls, won't move and the window is loose. ...you hear the motor winding away and nothing happen. In my case the window moves and is stable. I'm just getting tired of hitting the switch every time someone gets in, or I need to grab something from the passenger side.

My guess is the latch mechanism. As it's NOT telling the window the door is now closed. So it drops when I pull the latch, but stays after the door is shut.

How to I replace / get new part? Do I need to remove the airbag?

I've replaced the passenger side regulator twice. It never fell. Made god awful screeching noises but it stayed put

just bought the latch mechanism from Pelican. looks to be an easy fix. plus, the door lock is also acting strangely.

BTW - I love this little car. fast and basic.
