The engine is in the shop for a teardown. Expensive, but the condition and mode of failure will factor into my decision to rebuild, replace or just ditch the car. The car has always been reliable--I loved it when it was a survivor, but with all the negative press, and the very real flaws of the M96, I don't know if I can continue abusing myself with this car any longer.
