My 99 has Lightronics, but has the headlight covers put on some time ago....I did try taking them off once, but was not successful, maybe I need to try harder.



Anybody have a set in good condition that they want to sell? Let me know.

You neet to try harder. Rip them off then polish the lenses. Youlle probably be good. Buying new litronics will be very expensive. Very nice 99 by the way.

I'll never understand why people put those covers on these cars. You need to try harder to get those off. Did you use a heat gun the first time around?

MoeMoney: Thanks for the bit of encouragement! It was 90 F in Chicago today and about 5 PM I put the car facing the sun and was able to finally work them off. Tons of black adhesive underneath them, but 1.5 hours of elbow grease, a plastic trim remover tool and some automotive goo gone I no longer need to search ebay or craigslist.

Will have to post some pictures after I wash her....I feel like I have a proper 911 now!

I was thinking of upgrading to oem xenons but with the exorbitant cost of new ones and the prices on eBay what are my options... junkyard?
