Removing AOS in a 996 w/ Tiptronic
Can anybody confirm that the AOS can be replaced in a Tip equipped 2004 996 w/o dropping the trans? I found one thread where a user was in mid-process of trying, but the pics wouldn't open for me and no final result was posted. There was a link for dropping the Tip and doing the IMS, but I really just want to get to the AOS.
BIG QUESTION:
Is this doable? If so, any tips for a Tip equipped model?

Not sure what this means. I have read about lowering the engine, but not the trans. I know there is a third mount at the front of the trans. Is is just a matter of removing the angular braces and then this mount, supporting the engine on the oil pan and the front of the trans?
