Default Sunroof controls acting wonky....

All of a sudden my sunroof controls need a lot of fiddling with to get the roof to open. For instance...if the roof is just in tilt mode, I used to be able to open the roof by pressing and holding the open/back arrow portion of the button. Now I need to press the close/front arrow portion of the button and then press the open/back arrow part of the button. any thoughts are appreciated.

IF I remember correctly, it works a little like resetting the upper and lower window limits. Press the close button and when it is closed continue to press the button for 10 seconds, then release. Press the open button and when it is open continue to press the button for 10 seconds then release. See if that helps.

If you search for "sunroof" there are a lot of threads about various sunroof issues, and a handful of those threads deal with the issue you're having. I'm having the same issue too, and posted in this thread earlier this week.

The consensus seems to indicate that this behavior of the switch button means that the motor needs to be replaced. I'm trying to figure out for sure if that's true..!
