So a track worthy upgrade but useless on the street?

I suppose that is a personal choice. Some people want to maximize power to the wheels on the street too. $200 for 5 (alleged) horsepower is a pretty good $/hp ratio.

It's a good rule of thumb to take what a vendor claims and cut it in half and then hope that maybe you will actually see that once you install their product. BUT let's say you do see 5hp (at the flywheel, not the wheel) at near redline. I guarantee you will not feel that in the seat of the pants. 5hp at the flywheel is unnoticeable on a 300hp engine. It can also easily be just a standard deviation between tests and has nothing to do with the product. to me 5hp is pretty much statistically insignificant. You will get more performance gains if you just drive with your gas tank half empty all the time.

My experience is that it allows the engine to "spool up" quicker - so it feels/is more responsive - throttle blibs are quick and "powerful" (probably not the right word but best I can do at the moment). As for a 5hp gain, I have no way to prove or disprove that claim but I generally default to less if anything is more realistic.

My butt dyno is extremely accurate. I calibrate it every morning. My test results indicate no changes. None at all. I don't regret buying it. But if your car is a street car like mine. It would say pass.
