It's happened, I've gone over to the water cooled side...
I've made a change in my stable. A couple of things have happened. I had made an offer on a water cooled Porsche... The Ferrari gods must have been unhappy as on the same weekend, as I was driving back from the gym, my beautiful Ferrari 328 got hit by a driver going through a red light. There were many witnesses and I'm 100% not at fault (per our government run insurance company ICBC) and I'm getting a fair pay out, and fortunately I'm fine but the car is a write off and I was/am very sad. I need some time to morn and will consider getting another one as I know these cars well now after doing a bunch of work on it to put in such good condition.
Anyhoo, so the water cooled Porsche. I've run out of much stuff to do on the 993T (and actually the Ferrari before it got destroyed ), it's pretty close to being perfect in my book, so had been thinking about another car. There's actually a ton of options, and another 911 would have made sense as I have a spare engine. Outlaw? Rally/Off road build? But didn't go down that route. If I could find my old '85 targa I would have bought it (still might if I ever find it again).
Last week end drove 3000km round trip in my Cayenne with a U-haul auto transport trailer to Sacramento to pick up my new to me P-car!

Yes we need pics!!!! Also would like to see 328 carnage, if ya don't mind. Sorry ya lost her. My brother just got his 88 Testerossa, and then some old lady hit him. Not totaled, but still not good.

First of all, sounds like you are OK, which is fantastic news! Its too bad the F-car was totalled, but if you got out uninjured and got a fair payout, then that is one of the best outcomes you could have hoped for.
But you are such a tease regarding your new car -- bring it to the BBQ in August! :-)
Cheers,
Mike

It's an 84 euro, 310 hp, twin distributor, lsd, sport suspension, wider rear track, non sunroof, 5 speed. 67k miles. It's a desirable car to those in the know. Lots of stuff for me to work on!
