Default I think I'm in love

I just found this picture over on the GT2/GT3 board.

I am drooling, and slightly aroused.
Anyone know where I could get a set of those flares and that rear wing and front splitter? Any idea of the cost to make my car look like that? (I already have the wheels and the polar silver car.)

Scott,

The GT2 kit is available from www.mashaw.com for about $4,500
Includes, Front Spliter, Wing not sure about the Arch Extensions.
Also, I am not sure of the quality or if other options are available from other manufacturers.

Regards

I love that spoiler too! I asked Gert about how much it would cost for just the factory spoiler. 8300 euros! Ouch!

However, I do remember seeing somebody selling a bunch of GT2 parts in excellence this month. I think he had the front/rear spoilers only. But I don't know if he had the rest of the kit and if it was factory.

Yikes. I was afraid that it might be a little spendy.

Scott,

The best thing I can suggest is to leave the gas-filler door open, like the car shown. That will get you closer to that appearance. Another suggestion: go to Target, and pick up one of the 1:12 RC Porsche GT2 models for $30. Trust me... you'll be thanking me one day for this advice.

Bad news Scott, that rear wing will not fit an intercooler. That is the Clubsport wing. If that car was a Turbo, then it would have the GT2 rear wing. BTW, I already have the narrow body front bumper, and just acquired the GT2 front spoiler / splitter. Next on the list is the rear GT2 wing with carbon fiber element......

So Bob, where did you get that stuff.
Why do you need a narrow body front bumper?
Could I not just get the appropriate splitter and a GT2 rear wing. I'm anticipating putting in some s-ducts in place of the fog lamps and removing the bumperettes at some point when I next need the front painted, which seems to be annualy
Also, what about those flares. Kinda finishes it off, right?

Scott - I believe with those flares you cut off the original metal fender flares and bolt on those composite ones. Better have your Sawzall handy -

Bill: Well, If I keep losing concentration on my cool-down laps at the track, I'm bound to need some body work sooner or later...
(See my description of my day at the Streets of Willow Sunday over on the racing board for clarification.)

Mike Schatz has an FVD version of this kit on his website. It's all neon and goofy looking, and I never gave it a moments thought. But seeing this car in my colors so tastefully done gave me nasty thoughts. I'd better keep a low profile for a while, as Karen started calling it "That Car" last week.

Just wait until she says "You care more about that care than me... "

Better stock up on some flowers/jewelry to be ready when that happens.

Scott,

The wide body front spoiler is one piece. The GT2 front spoiler uses 3 pieces and bolts onto the lower front bumper. Our cars have no provisions to allow this bolting on. Even the Turbo S is a wide body nose with an extra lower spoiler GLUED to the bottom. There is one tuner that makes a glue on lower bumper in a GT2 style. I think it is FVD. There was a gentleman here that posted recently from the UK that had this and a GT2 rear spoiler on his turbo... I am going the narrow body nose route with the GT2 look.

OK. Thanks lads. I just sent my check in for the Cargraphics group buy, so I'm out of the "game" for a little bit. Bob, when you get it all done I'd love to see it. I'll give you a shout to get some of the details from you later.

James, be careful... You could start sliding down the modification route if you're not careful Asking questions is the first sign..

There is a Group buy for the Cargraphic GT oil cooler on the 993 board. I don't really have any other details...

Yup, The Cargraphics oil cooler buy.
Bob, you have that oil cooler n'est-ce pas? Is the install fairly straight forward? Oh wait, you are Mr Fearless when it comes to dismantling your car according to Steve, so I probably should ask someone else
