George,

If you'll scan previous threads, you'll find that prices vary from about $50,000 (1996 with some stories and high mileage) to $110,000 (1998 Turbo "S" with very low miles). You'll have to be more specific to get any detailed help.

A good low to medium mile car no I'm not looking for a S model. Is a high mile car bad? 50K-60K gets what?

My 1996 TT has 58000 miles and runs/smells like brand new (but needs shocks). This car should sell for roughly $55000 to $60000. Things to check:
1). previous body damage
2). worn clutch
3). smoking or low boost pressure
4). leaky steering rack
5). worn shocks (virtually guaranteed to be shot unless recently replaced).

All of these things can diminsh value or add to cost of ownership. Be diligent. Get the car inspected. Have fun... the TTs are awesome!

Guys I'm really looking forward to getting in my opion the best porsche ever made a 993 twin. I have been waiting for this car since I first laid my eyes on one in 1995. The very first one I saw was a 1995 arena red twin with a sticker price of 114K. The search for my dream car began last week. Thanks

The first 993TTs were delivered in June 95 as 1996 models. I know because I got mine then after ordering and waiting for 10 months.

George,

I may be driving the very car you originally saw. My 1996 TT has a 3/95 build date, and was owned the first year by PCNA, where I think it was displayed at car shows, and later used as a magazine test mule. Arena red/gray interior. Good luck on your search. My advice? Don't settle for anything but a car that makes you nuts.

Take your time and do it right, if you dont like one right away
wait-One will come up. Try to stay away from dealers they seem
to be asking around 10K more than you can get one from a private
seller. My TT search took 5 mos.

George,

That eBay car has all the goodies I'd want to add to a 993TT... LWF, PSS-9s, HRE wheels (not sure about 19s, though), etc. 62,000 miles, if properly cared for, isn't a problem. Probably getting close to turbo unit rebuild time (about 75,000 miles life), but a stock rebuild is only $700/pair, but that is the ideal time to get some upgraded turbo installed).

If this car passes a PPI, and has had no serious body/paint work, it should bring between $60k and $65k, depending upon how interested the buyer is in the aftermarket stuff. If it were me, the aftermarket stuff would be a real plus. A really thorough inspection is mandatory, especially considering the geographic distance.

good luck.

This one looks fishy. Mimimally optioned and he says
it has polished door sills yet the pic has on door sils.
unless you can see this car with an expert I would
stay away from it. Plenty others on Dupont and Autotrader.
62K miles and still has new car smell? I think the seller
is smelling cash! i dont think I would pay over 60K on this
one unless its perfect.
