Default not many threads recently

So I've noticed that the number of threads on this forum have overall decreased a bit recently for some reason. I've had to venture over to the 993 and occ. gt2/gt3 (996/7/991).

I decided to look for some of my old threads, I have 105? threads I've started (trip down memory lane) and some are hilarious - if I do say so myself.

It's kind of funny that on the net, everything we post is immortal. I've seen posts from people who I know is no longer with us, which makes me sad.

Might redo the exhaust over the winter....
Any suggestions for the next project?

Yes. Wouldn't this be awesome! Why would you ever replace a failed flat 6 with this option around? or do a swap and sell the flat 6?

I would never do something like that! I do have my stock motor and have been thinking about things I could do with it. Do my own retro type 911 build and use the engine or even shoe honing the motor in to a 914 (saw something recently about how Porsche built 2 914's with flat 8's) - 914 would be a less expensive donor but much more complex project although I'm sure someone has done it before.

But I was trying to think about doing something else to the turbo but i must admit I am running out of stuff to do to the car.

Rick, you're probably right - but how can anyone sell these cars? My goal is to not have to sell any of my cars going forward. I need more garage space and more good excuses I can use on the wifey for more toys.

Unfortunately, my spine has been a real "pain in the neck/back", so I have been a bad dad to my car. Hope to be back on the track soon though :-)
Otherwise, I'm not sure what you should do. Maybe get it all one color on the outside :-)

I can do more plasti dipping. I am getting better at doing it as I also 'dip' my older 2 daughters' cars. My oldest one insists on having car that's in different shades of pink - quite well known in these parts, I think of it as a safety feature as it's hard not to spot the hot pink honda fit coming down the road...

Hope your spine is better!

we need pix

I think many of us live vicariously watching your projects.

Don't really have any projects or upgrades planned for my car other than perhaps hardback sports seats or some other seat (Recaro A8's?). Pretty much maintain and enjoy - had it since 2005 and NO plans to sell. I've considered going back into racing but if I did, it wouldn't be with the 993tt - I spent too many years racing disposable cars and the tt does not fall into that category.

Haven't had much time to drive the 993tt or 7tt for that matter. Car has been excellently reliable, so there hasn't been much for me to post about.

I tend to think a lot of these cars were sold to collectors or made into garage queens that are dealer/indy serviced, so there isn't much repair/diy discussions.

No projects for me, except to drive it more.

My TT is pretty well setup now. Any issues that pop up can be found with this 20 yr old stock engine car can be solved with a search. I rebuilt my E88 wheels twice but that is not limited to this subforum.

I was hoping you would be able to pick up that 3TT midnight blue roller and drop your spare engine in it. That would be an excellent thread to follow.

In retrospect, that roller was sold during the height of 3TT pricing and volatility of the Canadian dollar this past year would have been a risky move. New opportunities will present itself in the future..

I need to stop working on my car and compose a couple of posts for you guys. Most of the work is complete so I should have some time after the Texas Mile. The next up coming project is replacing the stock LSD with the Guard pro, billet axle flanges and some sticky tires.
I'll keep ya'll posted about the Mile

At at car show recently with a singer and her pink Honda Fit.

I put my 993TT mostly back to stock so that was the last project. Projects have moved to my other cars

So true isn't it.

Basal I think a retro 911 build using your old motor would be off the charts, that will def spark lots of thread subscriptions and followers.

I will also second that notion for a 20 year old 911 it's been pretty reliable.
