Hi,

I am looking for a 3rd brake light for a 1996 993....... any one know where I can buy an after-market one or does anyone know the Bosche Part#.

The light I am looking for is the one that sits under the rear defuser at the top of the rear window.

Any info is appreciated.

The third brake light strip is made by Hella.
AFAIK the third brake light kit is only available from Porsche.

 

I think there is a bulb replacement DIY on pcar.com for that strip, if that is what's wrong with it.

 

Take a look at the DIy on Robin's P-car site. I did it myself last weekend. 4 bulbs gone. $2-50 each from the Porrsche dealer and $15 for a soldering iron, plus 2 hours time. An easy DIY and very satisfying.
