I would guess its got the valve in, as the Porsche Mann ones dont have it as its a Mahle/Knecht thing. So buy a OC-229, in a Mahle/Knecht box OEM and save a few bucks or buy the same filter from Porsche (04 ending) and have a lovely brown box to admire.

I am buying them all
Vacuum cleaning the market and fogging the racetrack
Not many can keep up with the old turbo, they can't see the braking points on account of the turbo fog

The real pain is to have to dig out the 997 for a couple of track days waiting for the old lady to be repaired again.

I had smoke on start up with Mahle filters bought from Porsche, so I switched to Mann and life has been good since. No smoke

I just called nello porsche of rocklin.
Parts guy told me that the (4) filter is for the turbo. (3) is for non turbo.
$30.

The dealer I called has it for $30. If I get it online it will come out to be more than $30 per filter. Unless im buying a bunch of stuff to get free shipping.
So I will be getting 3 from my dealer...

Sunset was kind enough to send me the new one to swap out with the 03 they sent earlier. It is exactly like the pics above.

Sunset sells them for 16.99 each not sure why you would spend 30 each

I still wonder if this is a better version that has the drain back valve like the old version or did they screw the pooch and take that away
