It may not happen with mine since I have the line updates from Kevin at ultimate. Both valve and p trap. Also just stocking up since I was ordering other stuff and am not due to change till fall

With all the tests I have done on mine (see my thread on Chronic oil leak) I came to the conclusion that the new 04 filter works, at least in combo with check valves on the inlet side.

 

I just bought my filter at the dealer and it's a Mahle branded OC229 in a brown box with a Porsche sticker on it.

The filter does not say Porsche

Just to bring this back up, I bought the Mahle brand filter from fcp euro

I don't want to throw this informative thread off but had my annual service and these are the part numbers for each filter:

993 107 20 305 $29.82 (Small filter we are discussing)

993 207 20 102 $21.46

"05" ??? Did I miss something in the thread?

 

04 very quickly went to 05, basically it now has the PORSCHE sticker on it!

Ok, Porsche has stock of the specific turbo little filter, ends 04, is a Mann item, made in Austria and has no Porsche wording or part number on it at all
