Hi Rennlisters,

Does any one know of a good shop near the town of Medford, Oregon to have a PPI done?

Thanks in advance.

Mike,

I was in contact with another Rennlister in New York who was also looking at at this car. Problem was the same for him. He could not find a place within hours to get it inspected. He contacted Steve at Rennsport, and others including the local Porsche club. No luck. Medford is like 15 miles over the CA / Oregon border. Not near anything. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Also, you could get there in 5 or 6 hours of driving to look at it yourself.

Hi:

I'm sorry to tell you that there is no such thing in that area.

Take it to Portland or the Bay Area for a competant and thorough PPI.

Some one actually looked at the car and it has some scratches
and some curb rash, so make sure you get some eyeballs on this
one. Also the owner told me that he is selling it becuase he
is retiring. I ask him when he was going to retire and
he said 5 years. then I found out that he only bought it last
year and put 6K miles on it. SO if he was going to reitre
why buy the car a year ago! Just make sure you check it out
thoroughly

OG,

I was told the same story and also found it a bit suspect.

Hey, I spoke to Sloan about a month ago looking for a blk/blk 97 TT and he said he had two that had less than a 1k miles with MSO's. Did he ever mention those to you? He said he had about a dozen offers in the mid 90s but he said those would not go for less than about $105k. Not that I am interested, but I tried to get in touch with him again about any new cars that might have come back and I get nothing but voice mail. Do you have any luck contacting him?

Mike, I dont seem to have a problem getting ahold of him.
But right now I am just eamiling him over the issues with
my car. I did not talk to him about any blk cars. I told him up front
I did not want black because of the heat here. So that is probably
why he did not mention those to me.Plus any thing over 80k
was over my budget.
PM me and I will give you more details
