Default Anyone seen this car

Hi Guys,

All my other short listed cars have been rejected for one reason or another. However, I have found this Black on Black 993 TT :

http://www.maplewoodimports.com

or

http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/v...=&cardist=1396

Same car, different pictures.

Has anyone seen this car, or have any feedback from the description / pictures.
From speaking with the sales guy, it has a B&B exhaust, has been "chipped" - trying to find out who's and if an extra Turbo S oil cooler was added. Additionally, it looks to have been lowered - not sure maybe you guys could confirm this from the pictures.
They are putting it on a hoist this afternoon, so hopefully they will be able to tell me if this is ROW, H&R or hopefully PSS-9's.

Basically, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

- james

What about this one instead?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2429481266

It's owned by a fellow rennlister. The price difference ($77900 vs $92000) is not that huge, considering the differnece in prices of these cars when new. You'd be getting a better deal with the turbo S when you needed to sell it, imho.

And it's a turbo S!!!

Jeff,

Unfortunately, my budget doesn't stretch to the mid 90's price point (my wife would kill me if I go beyond early 80's)
Otherwise it would be on my short list.

Jeff, your RS hub is here...

BA, $77K is way overpriced, and the seats look like it has more than 22K miles. I would deduct money for the other items (even if you want them). Car should be around $65 - 68K if you ask me....

Yes I agree the seats are way too worn for 77K
BAB I am on the same hunt you are, I definately dont
want black so I will keep my eyes peeled. A fellow
rennlister has a black 97 with 39 K miles for the mid 60's
right now.

I don't know when the install is going to take place. I'm still dealing with my wheel stud nightmare. This would have cost $1500+ to fix at a dealer. Had to remove the rotor and hub. Press out the studs and press in the new ones. Pull the wheel bearing race off the hub when it came out. Remove the drive axle, which also meant removing the PSS9. Pressing out the old wheel bearing and pressing in the new one (big *** Porsche tool required). Then put all the rest of the stuff back together. Not really difficult, but a lot of work to fix one wheel stud....

I am thinking of going to Willow Springs the weekend of the 13th. I'm around on the 6th, so maybe you want to do yours then.. I think Eric is stopping by this weekend for an oil change. Stocked up so I have a half dozen of just about everything in stock....

Hell Yes OldGuy If you do not go, then you can't buy your car.... I on the other hand am trying to buy tires and a trailer before then. If I can find a trailer quick for something less than a used semi trailer (this is not funny. I have found a number of good 45' semi trailers for less than I can find a simple open trailer around here) then I will sign up and be there....

I have talked to this dealer about this car as well. They are open to offers. I have been looking for a TT pretty hard over the past 30 days. It appears the market is dropping. Their are many low milage cars (under 30000) in the low to mid 60's. Dealers are still trying to get mid $70's without much success. If anyone has a lead on a white TT please let me know. thanks Mike W

Park Place near Seattle WA has a white '97 turbo listed. They are a very reputable dealer.

their url is www.parkplaceltd.com

(and i have no affiliation with them)

and if anyone can help me find a really really nice arena red/black or midnight blue / (black or blue or possibly cashmere) tt at a fair price, I would be really happy. must have full and hopefully supple leather.
