Ok, now understand "roll over" (never heard it described with this word before ..) -> I have never heard it get louder on a 993 than just a bit of background noise that goes away with the clutch in. Definitely not hearable at 100', its much less than that. Some people do not like the noise, but the majority of us seem to think its a worthwhile trade.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I recall reading if you rev match on your downshifts before coming to a stop this could help the stalling issue? Maybe worth a try too.
LWF installed on my 993, I've never had a stalling issue. Yes there is a bit of noise on acceleration at low speeds, but nothing obtrusive.

I did this on my 996 GT3. The motor already revved freer with the GT motor and then I did
the LWF on it and it revved even quicker. There was a noise like marbles or something on that
car. It took like 4 stop lights to get it right. To be honest it was harder going from the 993TT to the
GT3 (stalling) that it was going from the GT3 DMF to the GT3 LWF

FerrariBuyer, Your issues aren't the LWF as you;'ve probably figured out. You have a tuning issue and thus it's hunting for idle and overall it just sounds confused and ultimately has a hair-trigger stalling problem.
I have a LWF and it took the car all of 1 drive cycle to adjust itself for stalling. It stalled coming to a stop 1 time on the initial drive after the install. After that no more stalling issues.

When I bought Rufus (about 9 years ago), it came with a new DMF and clutch assembly AND a virtually new LWF and complete clutch setup in a box. The story was the P.O. of my car was unhappy that the LWF would stall when approaching a stop, and had DMF re-installed. Despite that, I would probably try the LWF setup if my clutch were to ever need replacing. I seem to be very easy on clutches, however, so the LWF setup may sit for another 9 years!

Wow Steve have not seen you or Rufus in years. Step 1, just put in some Delvac gear Oil when you do the LWF swap (lets see done maybe 200 or so by now). This gets rid of 75% of the gear rattle. If any noise bothers you after that, you should then sell the car and buy a Lexus.

The clutch you have is the problem. I know because I had the same one. I struggled with it. The only thing you can do is put a clutch stop with a rubber bumper adjust it so when you decompress the bumper the clutch starts to grab. The stop made the clutch livable but not great. I suggest rig up a stop and when the engine come out change the clutch
