Yes, but it certainly does not have under 500 miles, and the offer was from a dealer, not an end user. I'm pretty sure that an S with under 500 miles is over 400k if it is clean and widely marketed.

Yes of course, I agree with you. But on the other hand that would be an auction car for sure. Someone could consign a car, or dealer own, and put a price on it and let it sit and advertise it. Or it can be fought over at Amelia Island's annual RM Auction which is generally considered the Mecca for Auctioning old and rare Porsche's. There or of course sometime during Pebble Beach. The wolves would come out for a 500 Mile 993 S Turbo, and truthfully there is no telling what it would sell for. It could go north of $500K, or add another $100K - just depends on who wants to park the car and look at it more. And it's sad too because a car like that is valued on it's mileage and would never get driven. Maybe another 500 miles in 10 to 20 years depending on the owner.

I bought one of my Turbo S cars at Mecum in Monterey last year. Screaming deal. You just never know.

But I still will say $250K is Absurd for a 13K mile 993 Turbo.

I agree its out of control.

Exactly, and that is the beauty of auctions. Especially if the Consignor has made that most epic mistake of putting the car in at No Reserve.

I watch a lot of the Mecum Auctions as they are happening and just wish I had signed up for it to bid because there are so many deals out there to be had.

But there is one undeniable truth in this world; you don't sell a car like a 993 Turbo S at, or really any collector Porsche or Ferrari, at a Mecum Auction. That is just plain ignorant. Wrong crowd for that car and I have seen similar deals go off like yours.

Mecum's are for American Cars primarily, of all time periods. And you guys don't know how sick I'm getting with the contraction Retro and Mod. I've seen too many **** poor attempts at Retro-modding cars it makes me want to Vomit. It kind of makes me wish we had M.O.D. inspections for cars like in the UK because I wouldn't put my worse enemy in some of these retromods. Don't get me wrong there are quality cars out there, it's just every other damn car at a Mecum Auction is a Retro. For the quality jobs no doubt the person that paid for the work is loosing a lot of money.
