Default New (to me) 993 TTS

Hello, my name is John and I wanted to introduce myself and my car.

On Friday I picked up a 993 TTS! As a picture is worth a thousand words I've attached a few snapshots I took on arrival, complete with my pit crew.

2 owner, less than 25k miles. Other than the steering wheel (which the prior owner had put on around 1999 - he couldn't recall if it was from a 996 or another 993 model) and having the wheels repainted (again, prior owner who was addressing some curb rash from the original owner) it looks to be totally stock.

It being the northwest we've had nothing but wet roads since I picked it up, but I'm really, really looking forward to summer.

Thank you all in advance for answering (or not mocking) the inevitable dumb questions I'll post from time to time. I've read a lot about he car, here and elsewhere, but I expect I'll need to call on you folks from time to time.

Cheers.

John

Congrats! The ultimate 993 Turbo! We have a great PNW 993 mailing list and regular group, not to mention 993FEST which just happened this past weekend (www.993FEST.com). Feel free to PM me if I can ever help as I am local to you.

Great job on purchasing a TTS, just like the one I sold in 2009. Enjoy.

Congrats! A very rare find. Looks to be a 996 3 spoke steering wheel.

Enjoy driving the car, it looks to be a special one. , and if mocked by a few, don't take it personal and keep coming back to the forums.

Remember search is your friend and best defense from the peanut gallery.

And a TTS is a world apart form the sedan and minivan sharing the driveway. ;-)

Congratulations,

I too am local. You could PM me as well but Nathan is a great Enthusiast and you would be amiss not getting to know him. I recommend you look into the local 993 group. We get together occasionally and I've made some good friends. It's part of ownership of these great cars.

Besides my car needs more friends!

Awesome car!

Johnny

Well done! My first TT S came from Washington. I guess there is a strong following up there for super rare and exotic Porsches. I've got 49,000 miles on mine (and 25k on the other). Get some more miles on her! You will definitely enjoy it!

Beautiful car. Congrats! I'm local too and recently picked up a '97 TT. Wouldn't mind finding out more about this 993 group.
