Default Aluminum shift **** questions for 97 TT

Guys,

Looking for an aluminum shift **** for my 97' 993TT. The PO replaced it with a RUF shifter and I want to bring it back to stock. I have the aluminum emergency brake handle and I want them to match like they did from the factory.

My questions are below.

1) What were the different aluminum shift **** options for 993 TT's? How many were there or was there only one?
2) What are the part numbers for these items so I can search but also look for new possibly from dealer
3) Does anyone have one they would like to sell?
4) Is the **** and boot one piece or can you buy the **** separately?

Thanks for any help!

Regards,
Bryan

There were at least 2. Aluminum only and aluminum with carbon fiber.

You should be able to buy just the ****.

Check with places like LA Dismantlers too. Might not find many new ones at dealerships.

I would be looking for the part number for just the aluminum one (no CF).

Also, I have checked with LA Dismantlers and they currently don't have one and have been looking for me for months.

Part number would be great if someone could help.

Thanks,
Bryan

This is what your looking for, not sure how the pricing compares to US dealers though.

Rarely do you see these ***** come up for sale on RL. You should def have no problem selling the RUF one.

You are correct and I agree what I really will want in the long run. The nice thing is I can sell my Ruf (which has already been sold) and put this one in for now so I can drive the car. Once I find the real one I will install that and sell this one.

Default Shifter

Bryan, make sure the Eagleday shifter is aluminum. Most likely is, but it would suck to get it and have it be "silver" colored plastic. Nothing in their desc. says it's aluminum.

Just noticed. You have the rear seat delete? Was that factory? I'd get one but the roll bar won't work with it.

Good point on the aluminum, I will call them tomorrow. The RSD is factory as an option on my car when it was ordered/purchased.

Factory RS shifter is cheap light and plastic.

The one you want;

I am actually in the reverse situation and am looking for the aluminum ebrake in black. My C4S did not have the aluminum option yet the original owner purchased the Porsche aluminum shift **** (identical to the picture posted by Overboosted28). Oddly enough the first owner installed carbon fibre Turbo S door pulls which I sold to an RL member.

If I ever decide to sell my shift **** I will let you know.

AME_VIP, I would gladly take you up on that if you ever sell.

I cancelled the order as that one was plastic, thanks for all who helped!

Anyone else want to sell an aluminum shifter? I sold my RUF but I can't send to the guy who bought it until I get one to replace it... an aluminum one.

Cheers,
Bryan
