The car looks amazing! These car are surprisingly stable at 200+. I used a 27" tall tire to stay off the rev limiter. Only downside was that my ABS wasn't happy 204mph@6600ish rpms. stock gearing
Great job

Nah
That first straight bit is just to the first corner, it isn't really proper racing just a bit of fun and depends on who jumps the start and who brakes first really and unimportant, the aim of this game is once round that corner hitting the vmax down the next straight's 1.6 miles..... the 993 had one of the highest vmaxes despite the bodywork.

Can't tell from the video. How did you do against the 12C?

Oh man, just when I thought I was done modding my 993TT-the most recent change is swapping out the GT3076R turbo's for the GT3071HTA turbo's with the billet compressor wheels and 0.63 housings-it's due back to me this Thursday; now I hear of a 4.0L conversion (I'm "only" at a "lowly" 3.8). Any word on what P/C hardware RS uses for this? Mahle? Any other details on the setup?

I've heard rumors of a different crank to get the increased displacement.

Vince, Against the 12C side by side was interesting as you would expect the PDK style gear shift kept the 12C in the game but every re-engagement of the clutch in the 993 put some distance between the two, at the vamx beams I think the 12C managed mid 190s, the 993 was at 202mph but was hitting it before the beams on the rev limiter.

I don't know the details of teh 4.0 jobbie but I know they are being secretive, I tried to snap a pic of the engine on the engine dyno but was not allowed because of some secret exhaust BS..... I know that the max they go to on turbo water cooled is 3.9 becuase of the wall thickness but I understand that the 993 can go to 4 because it doesn't have the water jackets so more thickness/structure ?
Apparently this 4.0 993 was playing with a 9ff GT3 with 1200hp and was as fast. They were a bit disappointed that the ambient temp was 15C which favoured the 9ff since the 993 wears big Secan EVO and is tuned for 800PS in 30C ambient...

Pic is below, this is possibly the most developed 993 turbo ever, it weighs about 1200kg has the sloped windscreen gutter delete conversion, has PCCB gen 2 brakes, wants for nothing

Don, I hear your call but I like to daily drive just the one car and that is the 7GT2, it has been away having some fettling done for a while so the 993 got its chance, it is now back in my garage looking pretty

Basal, you maybe right and there are all sorts of permutations being talked about and tried by various people, my guys are ultra conservative and only apply to street cars after they have been raced extensively. I think they are testing a 4.5l for 7GT3 application which will really keep these Mezgers at the forefront. I know some people are trying 4.1 litre with Australian made cranks on water cooled turbo application but I guess time will tell how strong they are...

I could watch that all day. I think the mustang guy was napping at the line, took a long time to react. Think you may want to change your license plate to BYE!!!!
