'Missed Connection' in Columbus Ga today
Driving my Mexico Blue 996 Turbo home from lunch I spy a Black 993 Turbo scoot into Publix.
Where I live any forced induction German masterpiece is a rare sight, so I quickly turned around and pulled into Publix as well.
I followed the car and pulled in right behind where it parked hoping to spark a conversation with another eager Porsche enthusiast!!
The door opens, a slender woman in her probably late 40's gets out. Doesn't give me a second look, nod, or any recognition and proceeds to walk into the store.
I'm in a BRIGHT BLUE TURBO PORSCHE...........in a town full of Mustangs and jacked up trucks.
So it just kind of hurt. I guess the Porsche Brotherhood just isn't there.........
Anyone know this car or have a similar story?
Here's my car just for kicks and giggles:

Nice color... goes with Easter....Ha!......No...kidding.. your 996 is one of the best examples I've seen. Tasteful black accents. What's Mexico Blue? That color, reminiscent to Riviera Blue in the 993s is the only "risky" color that looks AMAZING weather it be in 993, 996, or 997 (and maybe 991) skin. Truly Great color.
Sorry for your encounter (laughing) good story. She wasn't feelin the love...ha.

Beautiful 996tt! I love that blue. Is it original paint or a wrap?

Car is originally Metallic Black. I've had it wrapped. Going on over a year now, and looks great.

I really started this post hoping that the owner might see it. Anyone on her know of PCars in the Columbus/Auburn area?
I've seen a white/red interior 997.1GT3 and a 2012 Blue Turbo. Otherwise nothing of note except for this beautiful 993 Turbo from a few days ago.
Really just hoping that it might be her husband's car??? and she's just not an enthusiast! I just can't believe anyone driving a car like that would waltz by my car without even a second glance. (I get that it's a 996............)

this reminds me of a funny story: Had the family hauler at the shop and wifey took the 997 to pick up paint I ordered. The guy at the counter offers to bring it out to the car and when wifey pops the frunk on the 997 he says to her "Does ur husband know you are driving his car around?!"
