Default Local CL find: 996tt Hollow Spokes for $900/shipped

No affiliation. Don't know the wheels. Don't know the seller. blah blah blah. Just seemed like a pretty good deal on some pretty good wheels. Crested Caps too!

They were optional.

Even though I am not interested in picking them up, I sent him a e-mail requesting part numbers and/or pictures of the insides of the wheels. I'll report back if I hear anything.

Standard fit for the rear of a 993tt is 10Jx18 ET40. With the wider rim and slightly different offset, won't these 996 rims potential stick out too wide of the body? Fronts are pretty close to the originals having the same dimensions and an insignificantly different 52 offset rather than 50.

They are a direct bolt-on to the wide body 993. Many listers run them.

I also have a brand new set of Turbo hollow spoke from my 996TT cabrio (sold recently). They only have 4,000 miles on them (literally) as new wheels and tires were put on at that mileage. I sold the car at 11k on the clock and the owner didn't want to pay the extra to ship from CA to FL. His loss. If you want to see pics they are in the classifieds and the rubber is 10 years old but almost brand new.

PM me if interested.

Meaning that they only have 4,000 miles on them so lightly used but 10 years old... not new obviously. Trying to reference the condition of them which appears as brand new... ie. no blemishes, scratches, tons of miles, road rash, stressed, etc.

Of course that was clear, it just struck me as funny.
And it's good of you to reveal that fact too, because most would not put 10 year old rubber on their high performance pride and joy.

I knew you were joking.. or at least i was hoping so.. lol.

Anyways, yes many people aren't aware of the 4 digit number on the tires which specify the week and year they were made. I would rather be honest than someone ending up like Paul Walker if they take a low mileage car out for a crazy drive with old rubber.

The tire above may be 5 years old but doesn't look like it had a relaxed life either..

The 996TT Hollow Spokes are a direct bolt onto 993TTs. The extra width just fills the fenders a tad more.

AirRick, I'm guessing your tyre life is measured in sessions, not years.

Actually I had bought these used on e-bay saving $200 each tire. I thought it was a good deal. They had 80% tread left but over 5 years old. Never got to the track these separated on the drive out.
