That is a lot of money for a C4S with a rebuilt turbo motor in my opinion...but given it is not a factory C4S or a factory TT now, would you not consider some other high mileage tt's OR mint C4S out there for the same or a little more dough granted - but not that much more for a higher mileage TT example. You may be open minded (accomadating) to the hybrid nature of that car given your really interesting stable of cars but my guess is that you would be a very rare guy in the market. A Porsche purist may buy it to track it or have some fun tossing it around for sure - but would never pay nearly that kind of money I think - and a guy who is not a Porsche purist doesn't play in the $70K used Porsche space. Opportunity for you given you are a rare buyer so I am sure you would negotiate accordingly. My opinion only of course.

Boost gauge where clock was VERY cool should be that way in the first place. Guess the C4 doesn't have the sad excuse for a computer in the lower part of the tach.

looks like a good honest conversion from a reputable tuner but conversions just can't command such premiums....or can they? Interesting that a Ruf pedigree pulls it off...so why can't others? IDK.

Maybe I'm out of touch but is this what prices are these days?

FWIW For the same price you could find a well maitained, higher mileage 96-87 Twin that is done depreciating. The value of this car will continue to go south.

Personally I understand the RUF premium. However do not understand why Protomotive does not command the same respect as far as engines go. Todd Knighton is well respected by Bruce Anderson and others in the Pcar community. I have never heard of problems with his engines and they use premium internals and produce prodigious power.

Looks like fun and price isn't off-base.

A nice 4S = $45K+
a drivable turbo engine / harness / ECU is probably $23K+
Don't forget the turbo trans to avoid that dreaded 1" fitment problem = $7K+
+ labor

will be cheaper to buy than build one of your own.

Best bet is DIY with your own 4S,
Then return to stock and sell turbo driveline when time comes to sell the 4S.

Nice car, but you could get a real one for that money.

Certainly that's a nice car but it's not a turbo engine in a 4s body. That's a full on custom twin turbo 993 varioram power plant. I have no doubt the guy spent that much on his project, the simple fact is that isn't a Porsche twin turbo.

Also the difference between protomotive an RUF is that RUF is considered an individual manufacturer while protomotive is "merely" a tuner.

RUF is only a manufacturer when the cars have a RUF VIN. Otherwise their cars are also "tuners"

How do you imagine that much $$ to adjust+fit a 993TT engine within 993C4S using the 993 non-turbo box ? Are you suggesting buying a 993TT box is the cheaper route to avoid the 1" fitment stock 993 box snafu ?
