Default Turbo S Rear Wing Question

Has anyone painted an OEM Turbo S rear wing? Does it separate into two pieces with the removal of a few nuts? Any tricks to separating them? Has anyone heard of fiberglass bonding the two pieces together? Thanks in advance.

yes
it was a major PITA to separate the two primary components only because the fasteners has corroded together.
I had to do considerable surgery to get them apart.

Butt I think Scott Mellor did the same and said it was easy-peasy. All depends on if your fasteners are corroded. There are a total of 4 bolts holding the wing to the tail base, two on each side.
Hard to see much less to access. I used a 12" long hex ball driver.

I don't think that there will be any glass bonding the two components.

Then you have to get the grilles off. GACK!!!! super sticky PITA mastick of some type was used. I had to saw it apart using monofilament.

have fun.

It separates into a lot more than two pieces, but I can't recall the details.
I suffer from DRS.

Thanks for the follow up. The problem was identical to yours with the old 4 x M3 bolts and the gunk/adhesive. The bolts finally broke loose and the pieces separated for painting.
