So you'd replace an inferior part over and over to maintain stock. Isn't that the definition of insanity? I agree that if you're going to make a museum out of a car then that's fine, if however you're going to drive it; it make no sense.

Hi Michael,
I suggested nothing of the kind.
You said "It's not a mod if the part was old or flawed".
I just respectfully disagree with your definition of a mod.
(I thought you Boston folk would be in a better mood after finally winning the series at home! )

Everything is relative. But I'd agree that anything not stock is modified. That doesn't mean that it's bad, but it is changed.

I personally like stock though I've driven a couple heavily modded cars and they are fun. Be carefull though, some mods actually reduce power. Call Jake Raby at Flat Six Inovations to find out what not to do. I do have Rennline pedals, Turbokraft oil feed lines and billet Al diverter valves but that's it.

If it ain't stock, it's modded... ie modified.

Now mine's modded and I love it...

FWIW I have all the original parts, can be put back to stock at anytime, not sure why I would do that or if I sell it in the future why anyone would want to put it back to stock. It's a better car now...

Mine has 31k miles on it so it's not like it is "collector showroom pristine", it's very very clean though so have some fun... dream car realized!

We're perpetually moody, due to being transportationally impaired.

I once spent an hour going in circles trying to get out of Logan to go to Cape Cod.

Maybe I have to sit in on the same counseling sessions as some of the others that posted here. I think the whole purpose of having a REAL car is to spend money (and countless hours) making it faster, handle better and last longer. Then every drive is that much more fullfilling
If I wanted to drive something that I would never intend on modding I would go get a Prius or minivan. Then I could sit in the fast lane all day long at 54.5 MPH, staring straight ahead and never checking my mirrors

It's designed that way on purpose. Keeps you on the east coast forever.
