Default Viezu remap tunning?

Hello,

anyone heared before of Viezu tunning for the 993tt? Or better yet, does anyone here have it in their Porsche?

I have a friend here that is a dealer of Viezu and had a chat with the UK Viezu guys, in short he said with my car configuration (stock with K24 fitted and no 02 sensors) could achieve arround 86HP and 80 lb/ft of gain with a custom tune. However I don't pretend to go that far as I would like to keep the engine safe in all the loads, especially long pulls on the highway.

He also said I could get the eprom (no need to buy a spare DME with their software included and shipped from UK to my country) from them so I can replace it at my own. I can do that easily, done that before even repairing DME's of BMW and Jeep back on the days, but I read somewhere that our OBD II 97' DME are build with soldered EPROM and the tech guy from Viezu says is plug & play (no need to unsolder or solder back in), not sue if this is correct for our DME?

Here is a link of their company.

Thanks for any feedback.

Never heard of them. From the looks of their website they are just another ordinary chip tuner. Would not let them near my TT. Stick with the Porsche specialists when it comes to tuning. In Europe, Cargraphic, FVD, Ruf, RS tuning, ... In the UK probably fearnsport. My 2cents.

if you have k24s as stock you must have a row turbo s so that would be around 450hp if they say they can get 86 more hp wait for the bang!!!

No, I have a RoW Turbo (pretty much it's a Turbo S everywhere, except the DME I would think) with the X50 Power Package 430CV. I think the first owner installed the K24 turbos separatly.

Protomotive has an excellent ecu tune; pretty well accepted here among rennsters. I have it and am very pleased with the result.

Not too impressed.

“Viezu have mapped 2 of our magazines feature cars, firstly a 328i and secondly a 520i. On each occasion the work has been first rate, we even use them for technical support issues when readers of the magazine write in with questions, as the technical backup is first rate."

Paul Wager
Editor of Total BMW Magazine.

Their testimonials do not mention the power increase you mention - mainly fuel saving!

Doesn't Viezu have a relationship with Porsche Motorsports? I think they do.

So, googling I found my DME (photo below) is a Turbo S ecu? Anyone can confirm? Could a RoW Turbo S run w/o 02 sensors? As my car left the factory like that?

If my car has the Turbo S DME I'm leaving it like that and no tunning software would be needed. Just need to figure out why sometimes I feel those "450 hp" and sometimes not.

According to the part number that's the ECU for a 330 kw upgrade kit - i.e. 450 hp.

What are the option numbers on the label under the front lid or in the service book? Curious if one of them is for a car desiginated for a market with leaded fuel.

Hi Felix,

I think you mean those stickers found on the trunk on the driver side (LH) or/and in the service book? If so, my car didn't come with such white semi square stickers and no, those weren't removed anytime past, just didn't come like that.

Check this thread or turn back few pages if you want to take a look. A Rennlister buddy helped me to figure out what I had. The VIN options and photos of my car is there.
