97tt Stock Shocks
I have a set of left over stock shocks from my 97 from when I put PSS10s in last year. Are they worth anything? If so, what are they worth and does anyone want/need them.
Thanks,
Scott

In about 20 years, a Concours guru will be looking for these.

I have thrown out several sets of old worn out crappy shocks - once the owners drive with the new ones, I ask "you wanna keep the old ones" and the answer is inevitably "heck no!" so I haul them down to the recycling yard and they go into the steel pile.
Depending on the mileage, the only think that may be worth keeping is the sway bar links - just in case someone needs one. Most of the ones I see are not worth keeping, or if I do, they sit on the shelf for years before I bin them.
The only time I would say keeping is justified is if you intend to strip off the expensive shocks on your car if you sell it in order to sell the "good" suspension separately. I have seen people do this, and then when they sell the car, they realize that it takes effort or money to do the swap, and then they are in for the cost of an alignment, and then they are selling a car with worn shocks...
Cheers,
Mike

I'd keep them for one simple reason:
Backup suspension is always nice to have when you need shocks serviced. I've killed a lot of shocks over the years, and it was nice to be able to use the car or at least set it on the ground.
