Congrats on the sale Stephen - hope it goes to someone here.
Not discounting that any 993tt, like this one, with an asking price of $64k OBO will sale fast...

To OP: Congrats!!!

Car is being picked up tomorrow. Thanks to a nice buyer and an easy transaction. I'll let him introduce himself if he chooses.

Thanks everyone for looking and the nice comments!

Ugh.... Not exactly what I meant when I said that I hope it went to someone on RL.

I don't know anything about the car, but I believe the current seller is a RL regular who seems to be a trustworthy guy to do biz with.

I bought the car back in April and have spent the last 6 months taking a nice, driver quality example and making it much closer to a pristine example. I did a front end respray to fix significant rock chips and went all the way around the car correcting for ~50k miles of road rash and the like. I also rebuilt the turbos, cleaned up several other oil leaks and fixed a laundry list of niggling items. I also removed a few items that while cool to some of us Rennlisters ultimately limited its broad market appeal. Its been a fun project. Its been owned by at least two Rennlisters in the past who obviously loved the car. I felt it was my obligation to improve on the car as the previous owners had and pass it on. I sold the car today to another Rennlister so it remains in the family, the seller gave me a very fair deal on the car and I passed that along to the new buyer for significantly less than what I listed it for. A win/win for all of us.

Default So I am the Lucky Buyer

I struck a deal with Nathan for the car last month. I have been a Rennlister for 3+ years; but truthfully I spent more time on Pelican because of the cars I had, namely a 930 Turbo and a 993C2.

The 930 was an ongoing project car that I owned for 3 years and learned a lot about turbos, efi, etc. The PO and I did a lot of work on this car - Chris's German (Bellevue, WA) did the MOTEC, COP ignition, wiring harness and tuning.

The 993C2 was a pristine, top 5% car that needed nothing more than the 60K service which I did.

I have been on the lookout for a 993TT, arena red, in good mechanical shape and "driver" quality bodywork. The subject car was a match so I pulled the trigger.

Currently, I am doing a complete brake job, rotors and pads about the only item needing immediate attention according to the PPI. The only suspense for me on the brake job is bleeding the hydraulics as I haven't dealt with a booster pump and accumulator before.

I spent some time searching and reading threads concerning brakes, bleeding, pad squeaking etc. Lots of good info to get me through the job.
