Default Anyone got Turbo stock cat pipes for sale?

I am working on my Turbo exhaust, and would like to see if I can pickup a set of cat pipes need for a bit of an experiment. It would be the pipe that goes from the Turbo through the cat to the outlet that joins up with the muffler, both sides. Those that upgrade to sport cats or Fabspeeds would take these off and have them in storage somewhere...

Anyone?

Cheers,

Mike

Oh, I am being shallow and want a better sound. I rebuilt a set of mufflers, they sound virtually identical to Turbo Fisters (did side by side tests and swaps), but I still do not like the sound at idle - essentially we have two 3 cylinder exhaust systems. A bit too "putt-putt" for me.

Baron has a very neat and what appears to be custom cat setup on his Turbo- both sides appear to go into a mixing chamber before splitting into the two sides - and the sound is wonderful, and even better with the Fisters. We do not know the manufacturer. Very smooth sound, because 6 impulses are being mixed on every cycle, not 3.

Ok, so I need a set of pipes to prototype with - I will either do something like the Fabspeed ones with a mixing chamber at the intersection of two 180 degree bends, or add a mixing vent between the two sides on a stock system -> which is why I need a stock system to try on. I may screw up, so I need to keep my current system intact (for now). I can source stainless pipe, and like you I have a TIG welder...

No performance gains likely, its all vanity..

Cheers,

Mike

I will have to have a listen to Baron's car, hopefully get together at some event this year. Will try to go to the BBC on the 20th and see what the new format is like. Haven't been since the infamous impounding incident
