Default I'm selling my '97 993tt

I am pulling my hair out trying to upload a document describing my car, to no avail. I'm sure I will get it eventually. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in a damn near perfect, low mile Arena Red/Cashmere shoot me an email And I'll send it along with a bunch of pics......Chris 911chrisw@gmail.com

Posting info for Chris (GLWS!):

1997 Arena Red/Cashmere 28,474 miles Clean Carfax 3rd owner
VIN: WPOAC2998VS375090 $84,500

I purchased this car in September 2011 with 24,214 miles on the odometer. The car was
stock except for H&R ROW ride height suspension and an Alpine stereo. The PPI was performed by Schneiders Auto Haus in Santa Barbara, CA. 805-962-8015. Everything was as new until the leakdown test revealed one cylinder at less than 80%. When the heads were removed we could see a badly worn exhaust valve guide on the offending cylinder and a slightly burnt valve. The heads were sent off to Steve Weiner @ Rennsport for the machine work and new valve guides.

I had gotten tremendous support from the 993tt forum before and during the two day PPI. The seller had agreed to pay for the top end job and I asked members of the 993tt forum what parts I should replace due to age and/or mileage, since the engine was out and apart. Per their advice the following parts are new:
10.8533.119 Spark plug wire set
993.602.060.27 Ignition coil wire
99.0609.100 Diverter vales (2)
0.280.122.004 Throttle position sensor
0.280.130.085 Temperature sensor, intake
0.261.231.118 Knock sensor (2)
0.280.130.097 Temperature sensor
03 02 Distributor cap
04 216 Distributor rotor
993.110.632.56 Right turbo pressure hose
993.110.633.56 Left turbo pressure hose
RS993TT1 Turbo check valve kit
993.116.237.52 Clutch slave cylinder
993.314.477.02 Clutch pressure hose
996.314.166.00 Hydraulic pressure accumulator
G.002.000 CHF 11S hydraulic fluid
999.119.017.01 Flywheel bolts (9)
964.114.012.52 Flywheel, dual mass
999.510.015.02 Pressure plate bolts (9)
964.116.014.62 Clutch disc
The brake fluid was flushed and gear oil was changed including the front differential
and all four hood shocks replaced. After the engine was installed a four wheel alignment
was done. The bills totaled $15,133.97 I have all receipts.
Four days after picking the car up a wacko wielding a hammer broke the front windshield, rear window and passenger side window. He also struck the front hood with a single blow as well as the top of the right rear fender and spoiler. The car was shipped in covered transport to Lufteknic in Richmond, VA. for repair. Lufteknic was recommended by Schneiders.`They are a high end Porsche only repair and restoration
shop. Their number 804-343-3363

The broken windows were removed along with all the old dried urethane sealant. New urethane seals were installed. Windshield is fitted properly and is tight with no squeaks leaks or rust anywhere in the window channels, front or rear. All other repair work was done to Porsche factory standard, to my eye at least. The hood was replaced because the metal was stretched. The option sticker was successfully transferred to the new hood. I have the old hood showing the single hammer blow. The old hood will convey with the car. There is clear wrap stuff on the front bumper.

At 26,370 mile the car was taken to Tif’s in Annapolis to have the well noted Walrod bushings installed. His number 410-268-8288

This week I installed a new battery and wired it up for a battery maintainer, The car has not burned any oil that I can tell Since Henry @Schneiders built the motor. The engine has zero evidence of an oil leak, or even an oil mist anywhere.

The negative: The car does not have original paint on right rear fender, spoiler, hood

The positive: The repair work is not discernible. The car is stunning.
The engine has a fresh top end done by the best.
The either expensive, or difficult to replace parts on the engine are new
The windshield and rear window are new with new inner and outer seals
Walrod bushings installed

Hi All,

Well Nurburger is a GD Prince!

I should have noted that the first photo was taken by the previous owner a few weeks before I bought the car. I just thought the tag was cool. Some of the pictures were taken in my garage after peeling the cover back, so that is lint from the cover padding that you see. I am leaving for an engagement in a few minutes, but I will respond first thing in the am...Oh, the car is located in Southern MD. Thanks again to Nurburger.....Chris

Hi Steve, I'm not going anywhere. I love this group and your contributions are my very favorites. I don't know if I ever expressed to you how much I appreciated your recommendation of Schneiders. I was really out of my element on the left coast, knowing no shops, with so much at stake. If I didn't thank you then, let me do so now. I am after a 356 Speedster. A car with performance capabilities more in line with my own.
Thanks again......Chris
