Default After market exhaust

Hello, my brother is looking to put an after market exhaust systerm on. He's looking for a touring sound, (97 993 turbo) not loud when its idling. Do you guys recommend anything? Also maybe changing out the factory cats to sport cats. What will this cost? Thanks for your help.

I put on the Fister exhaust with their wide oval tips last year and have been very happy with it. Not overly loud but just enough and no drone, although this is so subjective too.

I have S-Car-Go cans on my car and really like it. Rob over there has an extensive exhaust upgrade that is pretty spectacular. It takes off a lot of weight and I'm sure there is some power boost. It's all stainless steel and they do a great job at that. The whole system from headers to tips is something like $6k. I don't have the system myself (too much $$) so can't say much about the sound. Many people seem to be happy with FisterD and they are really nice guys, can't go too wrong with them and there set up.
Good luck.

^^^s car go did the big bird setup. Very very nice fab work. Expect at least 5k on a full good quality exhaust. Factory "sport" parts are insanely expensive also. I saw OEM sport cats recently. I forget which site but linked from PCNA site. They were 3400.00 each side. Blew me away.

But. As reference to real original question. I like the looks of the cargraphics exhaust setup. It even has those cool adjustable heater boxes. Then the new FVD setup that was just released. Check out the YouTube video of the setup. It's a full exhaust system. Good power. Good quality. Not obnoxious.

Me personally, I like obnoxious.

Default Fabspeed

My car has Fabspeed and at low RPM on highway I can actually use hands free phone... that quiet. But just a bit up on the RPM range does get louder in the cabin.... and at idle sounds louder then stock as well...

this is all I have on video for sound...

Hey Racer, we have a few different setup that will work great on his car. I would go with the X Pipe Sport Cats and Supercup mufflers, so its not too loud but has a nice sporty and deep sound. It will make a great HP increase as well, so he will definitely enjoy that. Also we are not too far from you, so feel free to come by and check us out, I'd love to give you a full tour of the facility and go over some of the options with you and him. PM me if you have any questions or if you are interested, and I will make you a nice member deal on everything.
Thanks,

"mickfluff", the car sounds great with the sport pipes, enjoy it and thanks for the great feedback.
