Default 993 single turbo setup HELP NEEDED

I recently purchased my first 1995 993 N/A

I’ve seen alot of single turbo kits around and they are ridiculously priced
I’m not planning to run high boost just a Garret m24 or a gt30

The problem I am having is obtaining a turbo manifold, they have 930 single turbo manifolds I was wondering if anyone has modified it to make it fit a 993

THANK YOU IN Advance for pointing me in the right direction and tips

The question is, why?

You can have a lot of work in front of you, I hope you have the expertise. There is the exhaust plumbing, turbo configuration, manifolds, engine and boost control systems, fuel injection, etc. -> all kinds of parts have to be upgraded/changed to make it workable.

Then you have a driveline that is not really sized for a lot of extra power (ever see the front driveshaft on a 993 turbo compared to a 993 C4?), as well as the engine itself.

That is one of the reasons for the highe prices for the kits -> lots of trial and error goes into it.

However, if you do give it a go, please post as you do it, we would be interested to see how it comes together.

There are lots of threads in the 993 list about supercharging, which is another option.

Cheers,

Mike

I would start with a factory turbo platform, conversions are never smooth, kill the resale.
Just trade it for a 930, 964, 993tt, etc
You will be dollars and headaches ahead,

Probably easier and possibly cheaper to go with a twin turbo conversion. Contact lister marins4, he has a nice setup.

best bet is to buy a motor TT motor and sell your NA motor, it might be cheaper.

930/965 single turbo manifolds will fit on your heads, no problem. You can run a GT3582R with a .82A/R in there without an issue,do not cut corners on the turbo or the exh. manifold, quality is important in these areas, same with the systems controls eg/wastegate and blowoffs must be good quality eg/Tial,if you plan to run low boost (6pnds) then a 5bar press regulator will suffice for your fuel mods., you can make your own intercooler and piping (if you have the skills),BTDT.,cheers,Sonny1.
